This reminds me of my mother and her sisters. And of their aging, and what getting older has made them give...
It breaks my heart, this piece, but it mends it too, because those sisters are holding fast to one another, even as the water rises.
And the house, it's flying away, not toward them. It's flying away and taking life as they knew it, when they were queens of their domain. now they have no domain, only each other.
they have each other.
it's so beautiful and melancholy, this piece. it makes me cry.
sorry for the comment deletion above, but i also wanted to say your artwork is so thought- and emotion-provoking. It's like therapy sometimes, allowing us to imprint on a piece, let the feelings it evokes emerge from the subconscious and wash over us.
I always feel somehow relieved when i come here. your work helps me face the dark and find the light.
Angella: all any artist can hope for is that what he or she puts out into the world will somehow find a new home in someone else's heart. I am deeply touched and gratified that some of my work has found a place in your heart. It makes me more than happy. Thank you for sharing your reactions with me. I am honored to have such a great audience for the work. Thank you!

For some reason, I find Las Hermanas to be completely beautiful.
I can't stop looking at them.
City of Lost Children comes to mind...
