Lu is a thing of beauty.

And so are you.

Thank you for this space, for the courage and openness you exhibit here.

And the beauty.

Thank you, especially for the beauty.

Radish, if you read this, that goes for you and your space, too.

The two of you are among a very small handful of folk that I hold up high in the sky.

I look up at you and marvel.

Thanks, Dishwasher, and Radish, for taking no prisoners. In your lives. In your art. And on your blogs.

Merry merry Christmas to you and yours.

And to Lu. A very merry merry to you, Lu.

We bracket this continent, or at least that's how I feel. Me down here and you and Mrs. Tearful and Radish King way over there, up there, and somehow across time and space and through the air these thoughts whiz and whir and we're different but we're the same and our eyes look out and our ears take in and somehow, here we are, twenty-first century magic, caveman sitting-around telling stories in the dark, sometimes until the sun comes up and cracks us in the face.
Merry Christmas.
