How do we reconcile the beauty with the horror?

A baptism. Somehow I believe the little girls who wade in the water will survive.Yours for the only life we have,Mim
A baptism is exactly right. But their survival is provisional, as it is for all of us.Well, its not really provisional, is it?But just because we're doomed doesn't mean we're not blessed.yrs-tearful
love that image!
The task at hand is terrifying, but the little girls seem unaware of it and maybe that's not sch a bad thing.
If we weren't sometimes unaware of the abyss and the watery deeps, we could hardly live, our eyes always on our frail peril.
Mim, truer words have never been spoken.
