Harpooned
Now, I have always been a sucker for love, that's no secret. One of my earliest memories is of lying in bed as a small child, four or five years old, and imagining there was a secret door in the wall next to my bed that I could open and go into a small room, where my girlfriend was waiting for me. I'd close the door and we would lie down next to each other and snuggle up and go to sleep.
I fell in love for the first time at five with Anne, a dark-haired girl with pale skin and circles under her eyes.
So, you could say I'm a sucker.

Love is the foundation of my life. Love drives me, supports me, uplifts me, torments me. I live for love and I will die for it. Kill for it. Build and destroy, heal or cripple, feed or starve for it.
And my great blessing in this life is to have found a lover who embodies the very soul of love.
She is my practice. My Ohm Mani Padme Hum. My Mandala and Mantra, Yin and Yang, Alpha and Omega.
I know she is just a human woman, flesh and bone and electrochemical energy field.

But I also know she is infinitely more.

So on this day I will make for her a meal to show my love. I will make a good dessert. I will get down on my knees and give thanks to the glorious universe for giving me these days and nights with her, glad in my heart for each one and greedy for more.
We are all for the boneyard. It is good to have her company on the way.
