Oh! This fills me with joy. I want to go there, too, hopeful and luminous and with intended direction. The landscape is foreign and we can't breathe here but we soar. Lovely. This makes me want to bake a cake. I think I will. Do you like lemon?

p.s. I put one of my paintings (it's a detail of one of my paintings. My paintings are big and I haven't figured out how to photograph them in their entirety yet) on my blog, if you want to take a peek. I'm shy about showing them, so it won't be there long.

Rebecca-

Thanks for the kind words. I'm playing around with some new ideas here and I don't know how it will all shake out, but I'm glad to hear how you respond to this.

PS-

Love the painting! You gotta show us more.

Hey Rebecca-

I know what you mean. When I'm painting, I like to be able to stretch out. Six by four is pretty good. Eight by four is better. It's funny because I'm a very impatient painter and I have to have the canvas covered in a day or two or I lose interest.

Thanks for sharing more of the painting. It's right up my figurative/narrative alley. I like yr style.

I'm blown away by your weekend of acceptances and reviews. I'd kill for even an unkind review. Okay, that's bullshit, but still. Be proud of yourself and enjoy your success!

Thanks for the feedback on this series. It just feels good to be working and exploring and having fun. I'm pleased with what's coming out, too.

Again, thanks.
