he seems such a poseur, and she, the accuser, the one he cannot lie to. but something in the way the shadows fall over them, in a forties film noir style, tells us that they are bound together inextricably, and share some evil deed or pact together. this one absolutely vibrates with tension.

I'm also moved by the tension between them, and the inclusion of the viewer in the drama, as he eyes us as if to dare us to pass judgement, as if our lives were free of all dark secrect sins....

I keep coming back to this and I want to go deeper into it, but everytime I see the fabulous zebra woman I stop. This is why it takes me so long to absorb art. I have to put up a tent in front of each quadrant and spend a month there with my notebook, pen, tea, baguette, flashlight and magnifying glass. I love the zebra woman and pretty soon, maybe before it rains, I'll be able to hear what she's telling me.
