How do we reconcile the beauty with the horror?

Is that a rose, or a claw? Or a maw?Is that luck? Or fuck?Are the faces blurred, features erased because both molester and victim lose their identies when this terrible, unforgivable crime is committed?These are the questions one keeps asking oneself upon considering what is a seemingly or intitially benign image. Monsters never look like monsters, do they?
Laurel-Again, it's all in how you look at it, I suppose. I think one good thing about a picture is if it can make you question what you are seeing or thinking and feeling about what you're seeing.Or not.yrs-tearful
