Hey, Scott, have you ever seen this guy's stuff? His name is Eddie Breen and I found him accidentally while looking up the definition of surreal on freedictionary.com. There was a link to his page along with the definition. I'm not sure if his work will appeal to you or not--but I find it fascinating. He takes old paint by number paintings and paints over them. Check it out. I think you might like it.

well, i had to look up 'unawatuna' (a lovely sound it has, too), and i found it to be one of the hardest hit places by the tsumani of dec. 26th. that's when this picture opened up for me...

oh, i'd already sensed a menace in the roiling red, like hellfire itself behind the heartbreakingly young german couple, but following the storyline that's shaping up in my head, it looks like those two young lovers have an appointment with destiny-- targets for the full wrath of nature some fifteen years down the road. (...as we all do, come to think of it. we just don't know the time or place.) another disquieting one, scott. but so compelling....

Well, yes. It is out there waiting for us all, isn't it?
But you still have to go on vacation!

Thanks again.
