the title, drawn from anthony's dogs of war speech in shakespeare's julius caesar, is very apt for our warring time. the piece also alludes to cerberus, the three-headed dog figure guarding the gates of hell. given our propensity, all of a sudden, to start wars at the drop of a hat, for whatever reason we need at the time, the images are both very close to what we have going on in iraq, where nothing is right, nothing is just, and no solution will be found but more a more hellish existence for everyone. j

you've tapped into some primal terror for me in this one. the shrieking mouths, the TEETH- coming in column,
inevitably; i can HEAR them, and feel the wrath of the shadowy giant in the background, whose bidding they do.

they're in every 3 yr old's closet and they're in the hearts of world leaders, and they scare the shit outta me....
